I have a friend at the Patent and Trademark office, are there any advantages I can benefit from?

Looking to get a provisional patent, then later on a utility patent, would my friend in the Patent and Trademark office be able to "hook me up" sort of speak or help out in any way that would give me an advantage compared to others?
