What color should i paint my master bedroom?

we are having trouble deciding what color to paint our room!! it is in an old victorian house that has the original fireplace hearth in it, so we will not change that. and the tiles around the fireplace are mauve (ew.) the hallway is sage, one bedroom is gray, and another is yellow. so it cant be any of those colors. i might do my bathroom chocolate... so i dont think i would do that in the master either. what should i do?! what matches with mauve?
