Is my hoover washing machine repairable?

My 2 and half year of Hoover washing machine has been making a weird noise when the agitating process of the cycle was going? After the load finished the agitator was on an angle which did not look the norm position? After removing the towels.....I could see the whole agitator piece in the center of machine was loose..that loose that i just picked it up and was able to remove it from the washing machine :/...My partner tried to place it back on but couldn't...Is this part replaceable??? And can a handy man replace it or does it need to be an expert? thx for any thoughts..
