Is this gaming computer too outdated?

I was looking into this computer. Would this PC be too old to bother? If not, what should I try to talk him down to? http://rockford.craigslist.org/sys/2069713532.html I'd like to use it for everyday stuff and would like to know if it would play flight simulator X fine? Always wanted to play that game in a decent PC. Or where else should I look? PC I use now is from 2002. Thanks.
