Should I go for me and my boyfriends first kiss?

see, i just got my ex back and he's changed a lot since the other times we went out. he's in a state that he can handle pda now so i really feel compelled to kiss him. i would let him be the first but he's still a bit shy about that kind of thing. i always freeze up tho when i go to do it. i get sooo nervous. any advice for me? i could really use it(:
