"EAT" on in a anti-war demonstration in 1967?

I have a photo taken in October 1967 at an anti-war demonstration at the Pentagon. One of the demonstrators was wearing an round on/pin with the word "EAT" on it. I'd like to know what it means and why people were wearing it on that occion. Thanks!
